Blue Jean Baby
Payday is finally here after the longest month ever which means those pieces that have lurking at the back of your mind for the past month could finally become a guilt-free reality (although those of you who follow me on Instagram will know I succumbed to those slides as way of a birthday present to myself so it wasn't exactly the driest of dry Januaries - oops).
Really into different jeans styles right now and keen to embrace as many vintage styles as I can get my hands one. You know the sort; not boyfriend, not skinny, something in between and althogether nostalgic for anyone who grew up in the 90s. Although actually finding a pair can be tricky; they're either too resoundingly 80s in their makeup or so baggy they make you look like the fourth member of Hanson (the hair makes the latter always something of a risk). Kind of loving the indigo wash of this Patrik Ervell pair - retro without being throwback. Add in a classic Breton top (my staple and this one by Topshop has a great, slouchy shape) and some sort of monochrome sneaker and I'd be a pretty much set for February.

Pauline - le Palais de Tokyo - Paris
I met Pauline at le Palais de Tokyo during last Paris Fashion Week. Pauline is raring
to integrate a Fashion school next year as her biggest dream is to be successful as a
stylist. Her worst nightmare is to be naked in a bathtub full of slugs (brrrrr !).

Decent Exposure
Sometimes a silk shirt can just feel a bit stuffy. It's like prim is ingrained in its DNA; that collar naturally wants to close up and button up. Anyhow, I find un-doing just one button too many changes the whole vibe into something more relaxed and less refined. This two-toned Sea NY shirt has that bowling-alley kind of 70s feel that detracts even more from the flashes of black bra too. I guess the addition of baggier-than boyfriend jeans help with that too.
Plus, if like me you can get away with never really going near a wire in the bra department, creating an extra deep V can be both flattering and a way to show off those pretty lace triangles we all love to pin (just added this one to the collection). As long as you keep the shirt loose (and the cleavage factor to a minimum as a result), a little bit of decent exposure can go a long way.

Atea SS 14
As soon as Atea's SS 14 look book landed in my inbox, I knew I had to share it with you guys.
You can probably tell from the images that the brand is all about elevated basics and luxury essentials. Clean, simple and fuss-free, this is understated dressing at its best. I'm especially loving the combination of mannish tailoring with slinky, feminine camisoles - something to recreate just as soon as lightweight layers don't need to be concealed under some sort of down-filled duvet coat.
Shop Atea here.

Cosima - Trocadéro - Paris
I met the beautiful Cosima during last Fashion Week, outside Elie Saab. She was like a smiling
colorful apparition on a sad rainy day. All her outfit by her mother, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada
who is a famous spanish fashion stylist. Cosima just started to work with her this year. Wish her
good luck in the crazy world of Fashion !

Rag & Bone SS 14
Another stella campaign by Glenn Luchford for Rag & Bone with Emile Hirsch (feeling right at home in empty swimming pools after his Lords of Dogtown hay day) and newcomer Stacy Martin, about to make her debut in Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac. If you haven't seen the trailer yet, you should - watch it here.
Old school motel signs, palm trees, L.A light, skate boards and Luchford's sublte eye and grainy lens. What's not to like.
